The Directorate for Consumer Protection and Horesca continue their commitment

Martine Hansen, Minister for Consumer Protection, met with representatives of Horesca. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss consumer protection issues as well as the quality of services in the hospitality and restaurant industry.

The importance of close collaboration between authorities and professionals - essential to maintaining high standards - was emphasized. Transparency, regulatory compliance, and mutual commitment are at the core of this approach, which aims to strengthen consumer trust.

For example, this includes drafting information sheets for the Guide for the Retailer, providing practical advice on complying with the Consumer Code, developing the Gift Voucher Charter, and organizing joint webinars for professionals.

Satisfied with past cooperation, the participants agreed to continue this commitment to ensure an increasingly safe and high-performing framework.
