Martine Hansen visited the TABA project, a project that brings together the circular economy, conscious consumption, and solidarity
Martine Hansen, Minister of Consumer Protection, visited the facilities of the TABA project. This initiative, led by the “Comité National de Défense Sociale” (CNDS), focuses on collecting, repairing, and redistributing toys and children's books. The visit highlighted the importance of the circular economy and conscious consumption - values that TABA has upheld since its creation.
In addition to its environmental impact, TABA plays a crucial social role by working with people in vulnerable situations, particularly those struggling with addiction.
Every year, thousands of children benefit from repaired toys distributed free of charge. In 2023, 1,174 clients received toys, benefiting over 7,000 children. Moreover, the project helps stabilize two to three people struggling with addiction each day.
During her visit, the minister emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting a more responsible and solidarity-driven approach to consumption. She praised the work of the team led by Raoul Schaaf, which not only gives toys a second life but also offers new hope to those seeking to rebuild their lives.
