Constructive exchange with the ULC

A fruitful meeting took place between Martine Hansen, Minister for Consumer Protection, and a delegation from the Union Luxembourgeoise des Consommateurs (ULC).

In an atmosphere of cordial understanding, the discussions were marked by a genuine desire to move forward together to strengthen consumer protection in Luxembourg. A wide range of topics were debated, including proposed changes to the Consumer Code to better meet the needs and challenges of today's consumers.

One of the major issues addressed was the planned introduction of a collective recourse mechanism in consumer law. This measure will enable consumers to band together to pursue legal action, strengthening their voice and their ability to obtain redress in the event of injury.

This meeting reflects the shared commitment to the defense of consumer rights, and testifies to the determination to work together for a fairer and more secure environment for all Luxembourg consumers.
