The Consumer Council, based on the principle of tripartite representation, Council is of great importance in fostering exchanges between the government, approved organizations defending the collective interests of consumers and professionals on consumer protection issues. At the request of the Minister, the Council is also empowered to issue opinions on consumer protection issues.

The Minister emphasized the importance of dialogue with partners: By placing dialogue and consultation at the heart of its work, the Consumer Council will be able to make an active contribution to an effective consumer protection policy tailored to everyone's needs.
